SE-330AU Neutral-Earthing-Resistor Monitor
Functions:
- Detects neutral-earthing-resistor failure - NER failure will render current-sensing earth-fault protection inoperative
- Detects earth faults
- Data logging with PC software
Features:
- Continuously measures NER resistance
- Wide set-point ranges - compatible with any neutral-connected NER up to 35-kV system voltage
- Calibrates to NER resistance
- 4-20 mA output for earth-leakage metering
- DFT (harmonic) filter prevents false operation
- Trip delay to coordinate with downstream ground-fault relays
- Standard RS-232 interface
- Optional DeviceNet, PROFIBUS, and Ethernet communications
- Four output relays for control and indication
- Conforms to AS/NZS 2081.3:2002
- Conforms to CSA Standard M421-00 Use of Electricity in Mines
- Free SE-MON330 PC-interface software
- Conformally coated circuit boards
- Five year warranty
Manuals:
Typical Applications:
- Resistance-earthed transformers and generators in mining facilities
- NER monitoring is recommended for all resistance-earthed systems
- The SE-330AU performs the series-neutral earth-leakage protection required by AS/NZS 2081.3:2002 and increases system reliability by also monitoring NER continuity
Minimum System Components:
- The SE-330AU requires an EFCT-series or SE-CS30-series current transformer and a sensing resistor (ER-600VC, ER-5KV, ER-15KV, ER-25KV, or ER-35KV).
- Outdoor Sensing Resistor Applications
