PGR-6100 Motor Ground-Fault & Insulation Relay
Functions:
  • Measures phase-to-ground resistance to detect electrical-insulation failure on the motor before energization
  • Mode of operation terminals allow the relay to be used on resistance-grounded and solidly grounded systems, by disabling its operation when the contactor or breaker is closed
  • Ground-fault protection provided by a current transformer when the motor is energized

  • Adjustable ground-fault trip level from 10 mA to 3 A
  • Adjustable ground-fault delay time from 50 ms to 1 s to provide system coordination
  • Two 0- to 1-mA analog outputs for external metering of the measured resistance and ground-fault current
  • Remote reset terminals for each protection function

  • Selectable fail-safe or non-fail-safe modes of operation

Typical Applications:
  • Used where it is important to detect insulation failure in a motor before energization, or where both online and offline ground-fault detection is desired

Minimum System Components:
The PGR-6100 accepts direct phase connections up to 600 V to perform insulation monitoring. A PGH-series High-Tension Coupler is required for systems between 600 and 6000 V. A PGC-5000-series Current Transformer is required for ground-fault current monitoring and protection.
