ER-15KV with SE-MRE-15 Kit Installed
In 2006, Littelfuse Startco ER-series sensing resistors were upgraded to allow their use in NEMA-1 enclosures in outdoor applications. In other words, new Littelfuse Startco ER-series resistors can be used in enclosures that do not provide protection from rain and dust.
Resistor-Fault trips can occur on neutral-grounding resistor monitors with the open-style ER-15KV and ER-25KV Sensing Resistors in outdoor applications. This is a result of surface contamination and moisture providing resistance in parallel with the sensing resistor. The SE-MRE kits prevent this condition from occurring.
New ER-15KV, ER-25KV, ER-35KV, and ER-72KV Sensing Resistors include a moisture-resistant enclosure covering the R and G terminals. User-installable SE-MRE-15 and SE-MRE-25 kits are available to upgrade existing sensing resistors. Additional information on Startco sensing resistors is found on the accessories page.
